movilización global!

Jornadas de
acciones a nivel global marcan el mes de octubre, cuando
movimientos sociales de todo el mundo van a las calles a protestar
contra un
sistema que se sustenta en la opresión de los pueblos, especialmente de
las
mujeres, y de la naturaleza.
 
En el marco de la
Asamblea de Movimientos Sociales, realizada durante el Foro
Social Mundial 2011 en Dakar, Senegal (ver
declaración abajo), acordamos marcar ese periodo con una jornada de
lucha
contra el capitalismo, con especial énfasis en la fecha del 12
de octubre.
 
Esa fecha fue elegida simbólicamente porque marca la llegada de
Cristóbal Colón
a las Américas (en 1492), una de las fechas que en la historia marca el
inicio
de la “Edad Moderna�, de la ascensión de la “civilización� capitalista.
En las
Américas, ese es el día que marca la resistencia indígena en defensa de
los

ALTERNATIVO A LA REUNIÓN DE CAMBIO CLIMÁTICO EN PANAMÁ





Nota de Prensa
En América Latina y el Caribe,
estamos viendo procesos que aúnan y profundizan los conflictos y
mecanismos relacionados a la naturaleza, y de las formas de vida en si
mismo, conflictos que se manifiestan en la criminalización de las
protestas, marginación y despojo de las comunidades y la depredación de
los recursos de la madre tierra.
Es por eso que mujeres y hombres:
campesinos, indígenas, afrodecendientes, ecologistas y organizaciones
de Mesoamérica y otros puntos del mundo, estamos en Panamá, convocando
un foro alterno, a la reunión intersesional de Cambio Climático en
Panamá. El mismo se realizará los días 1 y 2 de octubre en el campus de
la Universidad de Panamá.
Extendemos la invitación para la
conferencia de prensa este lunes 26 de septiembre a las 10 de la mañana
en el local de la Central General de Trabajadores de Panamá CGTP,
ubicados en perejil, detrás del Colegio Javier.
